rib knit
Rib knit is a kind of knitted fabric with strong elasticity. It is characterized by thin texture, stretchability, strong breathability, good hand feel, but slightly weaker warmth retention.
Rib knit is double-sided rib fabric. 1×1 rib is drawn with one stitch every other stitch, 2×2 rib is drawn with two stitches every two stitches, and 2×1 rib is drawn with one stitch. It is generally woven on 19-needle, 16-needle, and 12-needle weft knitting thread machines. Characteristics of rib knitted fabric: good lateral elasticity, suitable for tight-fitting clothing, accessories, etc. Common knitted rib fabrics include plain knitted rib fabrics, automatic inter-knitted rib fabrics, and inter-row rib fabrics.
